Bayern Munich hope to keep Chelsea target Niklas Sule

Bayern Munich offer Chelsea target Niklas Sule a new contract

According to Bundesliga champion Bild (h / t Footy Xtras), Bayern Munich hope to keep Nicklas Sule at the club and have offered him a new contract to keep him away from the clutches of English giant Chelsea.

The 26-year-old’s current contract expires this summer and he will be free to talk to clubs when the winter transfer window opens in January. The German defender had previously delayed contract talks until the end of the year.

The Blues are looking for a defender because there are question marks about the future of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva. All are in the last year of their contract at Stamford Bridge and have yet to commit their futures to the club.

Niklas Sule is a transfer target for Chelsea

The quarterback may sign a pre-deal deal with foreign clubs starting in January and have a number of contenders on hold. Real Madrid have been linked with Rudiger and Christensen in the past and want to steal them from Premier League leaders.

However, Chelsea himself have offered them new contracts but it remains to be seen whether they will commit their future to the club. having to replace four senior stars in a window is a difficult task, even for the Blues.

Chelsea are currently at the top of the Premier League table but saw their lead at the top reduced to just one point after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday. They have been determined in defense this season and would really like to keep their star defenders no matter what.

Rudiger was a revelation

The German defender has been in beast mode since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel last year. It has been a brick wall in the back and has a strange purpose. He has been their main defender – and has not yielded an inch to opposing forwards.

The 28-year-old and Christensen have produced the best football of their careers under Tuchel. The duo have been flawless and Chelsea are truly desperate to keep them.

Chelsea have a more than decent chance of going all out for the Premier League title this season – and these two will be the most vital cog in their success. Above all, Rudiger has just brilliantly adapted Tuchel’s philosophy on the pitch and has become irreplaceable in the starting XI.

Chelsea have conceded just five goals in 13 Premier League games so far. The defense certainly played their part in making them a formidable outfit.
